My experience was great, and I thoroughly enjoyed the historical background of all the influential Black American jazz artists that pioneered jazz to be what it is today. The length of our tour was as expected. The admission fee was also reasonable including a drink of our choice at one of the jazz clubs. In between 2 of them, Catherine walked us through the French Quarter and gave recommendations on jazz clubs in NOLA. I also enjoyed the historical context of certain landmarks and statues of jazz pioneers in Louis Armstrong Park, I highly recommend participating on this tour on Sundays with Catherine, because of the special sight you’ll get to experience!

Our guide made it super incredible! He is a historian so everything that he was telling us was super factual, and not some of the lies you hear on the television. There was nothing paranormal about it, but just listening to the history of the cemetery and learning about the tombs and different legends that are in this cemetery was super creepy, and you felt like you were surrounded by the dead, which obviously we were lol. If you like history and learning about things from back in the day, I super recommend this tour but only at night. We did the evening tour guide, and it was still super hot in the cemetery since everything is made of brick and concrete and there was no airflow. I think it would be absolutely unbearable to do when the sun is out. Just something to keep in mind ☺️

From start to finish, the whole experience was amazing. The staff were brilliant throughout, friendly, welcoming and attentive, and the service was easily 10/10.And then there was the food! The gumbo and jambalaya were some of the best we’ve had since arriving in New Orleans, and the bread pudding was absolutely delicious too. We honestly weren’t expecting the food to be quite as good as it was.One thing that really blew us away, though, was the price of the wine on board. A large glass of Pinot Grigio was just $10! Try getting that anywhere else in the city, it’s practically impossible. It was such a pleasant surprise and made sitting back, enjoying the views and having a drink even better.The historian’s narration was also fantastic. It was genuinely interesting and really informative without ever feeling boring. I won’t spoil any of the surprises, but I learned a lot about the British — and I’m British! 😂 The information about Cat Island was particularly fascinating and really added something extra to the experience.If you choose to do the battlefield tour, there’s plenty to enjoy there too. However, if, like us, you decide not to disembark for the battlefield tour, you can simply stay aboard, relax and tuck into a few more drinks while enjoying the cruise. 🍷All in all, this cruise is a must-do. Great food, great staff, fantastic views and some really great stories along the way.I honestly couldn’t recommend it more — just do it! You won’t regret it

This city tour of New Orleans was fun, interesting and informative. I truly appreciated being picked up and dropped off at our hotel which made it so much easier. This was our first time in New Orleans, so we wanted to take a tour that showed us the highlights. This tour is excellent! The driver/tour guide was knowledgeable and, at times, humorous. The vehicle was large enough for our small group and we truly appreciated the air conditioning. The cost was typical for a tour like this. The 2hr length was just right. We recommend this tour if you're looking for an overview of New Orleans.
