So glad I decided to do this tour. Brian was a wonderful guide. He has an infectious laugh and joie de vivre that made this tour very memorable. There are a lot of plantation tours but consider Whitney if you want to learn from the perspective of the enslaved. It was eye opening and so moving. Joy the guide at Whitney was wonderful and I left the tour curious to learn more. For the swamp tour, we got to see many alligators and some loval birds which was very nice. Please consider your options which boat you want carefully.

We had a great day with Brian. We were the only passengers so we had a private tour in a sedan. The guide Brian was knowledgeable and fantastic company with a great sense of humor. He added a short stop at Oak Alley where we had some delicious gumbo, a quick stop in an excellent gift shop and the chance to see the exterior of the property. He pointed out many spots along the way. After the planation we went on to the swamp tour. It was chilly but sunny and we saw two alligators. Better sightings in warm weather. The guide did stop to pick up a snake and we saw many birds. Boat was noisy and MUDDY - do not wear clothes, shoes, purses etc that cant get mud on them

I would definitely recommend this tour, the Whitney Plantation is a really moving and important experience and I am so glad I was able to go and learn more about the history of slavery. The swamp tour was also very beautiful and informative. Brian was a brilliant guide, really funny and with lots of recommendations for things to see in New Orleans. Thanks very much!

We loved our day with crescent city tours and both tour locations. Our guides in both places were informative and moving, and the transportation to and from was second to none. Brian is great company for all of the journeys - Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Both experiences were wonderful, and our driver was funny and fantastic. Keep in mind this takes up the whole day really, and there may be long periods of waiting for the driver to take you from site to site. Pack food as well!!
