The tour was a great experience. One that was very important to me, and the driver, Alton, added to that experience. He was awesome.

The museum on the plantation is very insightful to the lives and suffering of slaves. The focus on children in slavery is a new angle I had not thought about.

Very Very informative. I absolutely love that this tour was about the slaves, period! This is not a feel good tour about the beauty of the plantation. Yes, the plantation is absolutely gorgeous, but the beauty was designed off the sweat and whippings of the slaves.

So so many reviews of other plantation tours. I am so happy we went this one. I didn’t want to just tour a beauty of a plantation while ignoring the misery of the slaves on the plantation. We absolutely loved this tour.

It was an amazing experience. I'd totally recommend it. The guide in the bus was amazing and so was the historian at the plantation

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour at the Whitney. Our tour guide, Ali, was beyond knowledgeable regarding the history of the plantation, as well as how the past ties into our current socioeconomic situation here in the United States. I would highly recommend everyone to pay the Whitney a visit. It is worth every penny.
