We were picked up at the hotel and the driver had good knowledge of the area, and told us stories of the area. Oak alley was very nice and the tour guides were very good. I just wish we could spend more time there, but we needed to get to the air boat. So, the air boat was fun and the boat driver also had great knowledge of the swamp area and wild life. We saw many alligators, turtles and fish. We had alligators right up next to the boat and the driver would touch his head with his bare hand. I will defiantly do another air boat ride again.
The double-booking (Plantation Tour and Air Boat Swamp Tour) is the way to go. The Plantation Tour was beautiful, informative and educational. The swamp tour, with talks about the flora and wildlife, as well as an exhillerating ride through the Louisiana swamp was great. What a memorable day this was!
This trip was amazing! Really informative tour of the plantation, and the airboat ride was really excellent. Lots of great photos of alligators and thrill rides with the small airboat travelling at speed.
I really enjoyed the oak alley plantation. However since it's a combo tour it would have been nice to have a little more time at the plantation. The docents were excellent at explaining the history. The slave quarters have been reconstructed. Be aware that there are approximately 22 steps to go up to the second floor of the plantation house. If you are unable to go up the stairs, they did say they provide a video of it for you to watch. All in all it is worth the time to see. There were a lot of people there when we attended as a steam boat had docked on the Mississippi river and those guests were touring as well. The oaks are majestic. The second half of the tour was an absolute thrill for me. The smaller airboat tour allowed us to get up close and personal with the swamp, marsh, cypress and gators. Our tour guide Rocky rocked our tour. I couldn't believe all the gators we found. You will not be disappointed. I loved the speed of the airboat. So if you have a need for speed and a interest in the area you will love it. We even held a baby gator!
Airboat Capt. B.Bop is a great guide. This was our first time in the swamps and an airboat. The "kid" knows his stuff. We thank him for his education, humor, and common sense. The plantation tour should be on every US citizen American history requirement. It opens your eyes. Love bus driver Brian!

Highly recommend the combo tour! As soon as we got in the bus the driver was lively, funny and yet informative about NOLA's history. Oak Alley was beautiful a great place to take pictures and get a little bit of history if your into that. The mint julep2 parts bourbon there will get you going and was refreshing. Time given to walk around the place was too short though. Next was the 6 passenger air boat which was AWESOME i would highly recommend getting the smaller boat because you get more focus and get the chance to hold and the big alligators and even a baby alligator which was something if you get the stay in the bigger boats you might not get to experience.

This tour was amazing!
