This was my third tour with Danny. I love to take my friends and family visiting New Orleans on this tour because Danny gives such a phenomenal history of the Treme, Marigny, and surrounds. He is wise and funny. The biking is easy- a very slow roll, no busy streets. Cars are rare. You end up in a tavern for sustenance- a place where you or your group will take the best picture. Ask Danny for restaurant recommendations and he will give you a list long enough to keep you returning to New Orleans for decades. Just do it!

As I got the meeting point I found out I was the only one on the tour and that was the very first thing that made the tour special already, Libby showed up for me and that made me feel special. It seems it can happen during summer because of the low season but instead of canceling because only one person reserved the tour, I got to see Garden District! Libby was so kind to me and we even talked about how New Orleans history is related to Puerto Rico’s (my homeland) and the Caribbean, so interesting! If you are ever in New Orleans I 100% recommend this tour! After, if you’re a coffee lover as myself, you can definitely get to Magazine street and get a coffee from the French Truck! Hope you enjoy your New Orleans trip!

Rhody was an amazing guide. She was bubbly and entertaining while holding the delicacy and heavy nature of New Orleans history. She consistently checked in with tour participants to make sure everyone was doing okay and was intentional about giving everyone a chance to ask questions and be heard. A lot of the information was heavy, but she did a great job of weaving in levity, and I truly believe if you want an accurate, culturally responsive, not white-washed history of the French quarter, this is your tour company. Rhody was knowledgeable, inclusive, and just as willing to share her own personal experiences as a New Orleans local as she was facts and local legends. We had an amazing time and would absolutely go back!

I cannot recommend this tour enough, especially if you get Christo as your guide.I had never done a ghost tour before, and I was hoping for something that focused more on the history of New Orleans than jump scares or over-the-top ghost stories. This was exactly that. I'd say it was about 80% fascinating history and 20% ghost stories, which was the perfect balance.I've been visiting New Orleans for about 20 years and usually come three times a year. I honestly thought I knew this city pretty well. I was wrong. Christo taught me so much about places I've walked past dozens of times without ever giving them a second thought. Now I'll never look at those buildings and streets the same way again.One thing I was worried about was being able to hear. I'm hard of hearing, and I was afraid I'd spend money on a tour where I'd miss half the stories. Christo was incredibly thoughtful. He made sure everyone naturally formed a half circle around him before he started talking, and because of that I heard every single word. Even if I had missed something, he's such a theatrical storyteller that you could almost understand the story just from his expressions and delivery alone.The man has absolutely found his calling. He is a master storyteller and clearly an expert in New Orleans history. At one point I asked him what I thought was going to be a random, obscure question while we had a few seconds between stops. Instead of a quick answer, he launched into a fascinating five-minute explanation without missing a beat. I couldn't stump him.I honestly want to book another tour with Christo, not even for the ghost stories, but just to hear him teach the history of New Orleans. He made me appreciate this city in an entirely new way.Absolutely phenomenal experience. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it.

This Black History& Treme tour reminded me of the Historic West End neighborhood in Atlanta; Including the New Orleans African American Museum that is similar to the Hammond House in Atlanta. We enjoyed the Louis Armstrong Park and Congo Square. This tour was perfect for my father and I, as we created our own experience being the historian photographers that we are, discovering hidden gems.
