I heard about this museum and the story it tells while on a bus tour. It was recommended by the tour guide. The museum had a lot of value and the spacing/ number of exhibits was perfect for a lull in the ups and downs of New Orleans. The attendant was super nice. I do wish they had more to offer from the gift shop. There is so much to explore with the Lewd and abandoned theme. Great time out of the heat.

The tour was phenomenal! Our guide Tylyn was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and happily answered any questions we had. The tour gives a condensed yet impressive overview of queer history and culture in NOLA while the French Quarter acts a beautiful backdrop. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in NOLA history, as the fight for equality continues to be relevant to the queer community.

Tyra was absolutely fantastic! Our tour with her was Saturday July 11, 2026 at 10am. She has an amazing personality, truly loves people, and made our tour so enjoyable. Her knowledge of New Orleans, the places we visited, and the streets we traveled was incredible. We learned so much about the city’s history and culture. She also recommended wonderful restaurants and great places to shop, and we followed her suggestions the very next day—they were all excellent! Tyra made our experience unforgettable, and we highly recommend taking a tour with her. Thank you, Tyra, for such a fun and informative experience!

We really hit the jackpot with Marc as our tour guide! He has over 30 years of experience in the restaurant world in New Orleans, and he put together an incredibly thoughtful tour of different neighborhoods throughout New Orleans with all different types of cuisines. We aimed a couple trendy, fine, places, a couple places that were clearly hidden local hangouts, and he gave us a beautiful tour of the city with lots of knowledge aboutthe history and culture. The food was fantastic and we had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend. !

This tour was wonderful! Highly recommend, First of all the website was easy to book without having to call anyone. Communication was stellar. The price was modest compared to some...which I appreciated as you never know what you are going to get. I would rather give a tip than pay for something that was not so great.Our guide was Harris who knew so much about the entire history of New Orleans, but as a musician himself was able to bring more insight into the whole Treme area and the beginnings of Jazz. We even went by a church he had played in when he was in high school. He wanted to know what we wanted to know, not just a canned talk by any means. Like because I am Irish, he told us a little about that neighborhood as well. And even more generous, he followed up the visit with a long text reviewing a lot of the details and names he had discussed and some other places we might want to check out.
